Racing With the Sun
"West Side'' Joe Schicke was raised in Memphis, TN, and earned his recording and performing credentials with Memphis' Blues Rock Queen Reba Russell. After playing with Reba for five years, Joe started his own group, Minivan Blues Band, which became a staple of the Memphis roots rock scene. He also played gigs with Memphis blues artists Earl the Pearl, Billy Gibson, Larry Lee (guitarist for Al Green), and Big Joe Turner (bassist for Albert and B.B. King). Joe has shared stages with Charlie Hunter, Tower of Power, and James Cotton, and worked in the studio with legendary producer Willie Mitchell. Joe moved to Ft. Collins in 2007 and has since worked with local artists such as Jeff Finlin, Lionel Young, John Magnie, and Al Chesis. Joe currently leads his band West Side Joe & The Men of Soul, who released their first album, Keep On Climbin', in 2021 with a sound drawing comparisons to Los Lobos, Staple Singers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Little Feat. On drums and background vocals is Steve Amedee of Colorado legends The Subdudes. On bass and background vocals is Taylor Tesler, who developed his talents on the road with American Idol alumni Casey Abrams.

Hanna Doreen
Hanna Doreen
Hanna Doreen Brown is an integrative artist from Rochester, NY who brings innovation to the music she writes and to the spaces in which she performs. Drawing from a deep love for music history, Hanna writes music that reflects her roots in classic country and folk music, but that reaches toward more modern and indie influences as well. Her love for music of the past and present can also be seen in her daily work. Hanna performs covers and originals in Northern Colorado senior care facilities and has built her nonprofit program, Sound Affects, around this work. At night, on the weekends, and on tour, Hanna performs the same music for public audiences, constantly trying to draw connections between traditional and modern music. Hanna hopes that as she continues to write songs, she’ll capture the stories of the wise, learn a little about a lot, and break down some stereotypes in the process.

Elise Wunder
Elise Wunder
SHE DOES IT WITH A VOICE OF OAK AND LEATHER; ... a tone that’s soft and comforting but with an unmistakably solid foundation. Her style is heavy in a way that does not suggest world weariness so much as it does wisdom and an old soul. Her voice will take you by surprise, especially when she sets it loose at an unexpected moment and you realize the power that she has been holding back. It’s a cannon and a paintbrush at once. Elise Wunder’s song writing (somehow wistful, promising and familiar, and completely new) is quietly staggering. Her lyrics, written in a stream of consciousness style that leaves wide space for personal interpretation, are nonetheless clearly autobiographical. Wunder seems to be baring her soul, both the strong parts and the weak, despite her best efforts to protect herself from our prying ears. She can’t help but bleed when she sings, and the vulnerability of her art drives into our hearts with the force of a hammer. The most subtle aspect of Elise’s music is the thin line of darkness that runs through the center of it all. There is a lean towards the abyss, a nod to the void. Maybe […]

Tyler T.
Tyler T.
Tyler T.’s music is energetic and unpredictable, intriguing and danceable, complex yet groovy. Innovative and eclectic, he creates a rich and textured sound by crossing and combining genres including acoustic rock, electric rock, folk, bluegrass, world, prog, psychedelic, and touches of jazz and electronica. Using a unique looping and phrase-sampling technique, he brings together a diverse roster of instruments such as guitar, keys, marimba, and digeridoo, all of which he performs himself. He also often weaves in strings, mandolin, banjo, organ, saxophone, flute, and dobro to create a layered intricacy in his instrumental pieces, and a sense of texture that backs up his vocal performances. On acoustic guitar, he demonstrates a startling range of expression with harmonic and percussive techniques, while his voice whispers, rasps, grinds, and growls. According to Bandwagon Magazine, “e’s not only a world-class singer-songwriter in the folk/jam scene, but well versed in numerous instruments, making him a force to be reckoned with in progressive music as well.” Lyrically, he touches on eternal themes of love and loss, such as in the evocative “Stone Tree” and the wistful “Take Me With You.” What sets him apart is his ability to invoke folklore, such as in the tongue-and-cheek […]

TMULE
TMULE
Grunge rock inspired Cosmic Americana and ethereal delay-driven layers of Existential Folk. Guitar and lyric driven songs with harmonica hooks and fiery solos. This pairing of TMULE and Nic Clark leads the listener into a vast moonlit countryside, taking the long way home… exploring the brambles of life and the routes underfoot with psychedelic side trips sprawling through the stars. TMULE brings gritty vocals and rowdy rhythm guitar. He weaves together lyrical roots and folk stories like early Neil Young with the grunge of Pearl Jam and sonic celebrations like Wilco. Nic Clark is a master harmonica player, playing in Colorado bars since the age of twelve, gracing stages from Greeley Blues Jam to Red Rocks with his prolific blues licks and haunting harmonic undertones. His musical styles influenced by the Staples Family, Taj Majal, and Curtis Mayfield.

Wyoming Troubadour You don't get any more rural than Wyoming, if that's what you mean by country. I see inspiration every direction I look. I grew up at the doorstep of Yellowstone Park in the Rocky Mountains and I don't suppose I'm moving anywhere anytime soon. I write my own songs and tell my own stories. As a musician, poet, adventurer and outdoorsman my goal is for you to find a little bit of yourself in the songs I sing and the stories I tell. kalynbeasley.com
